Camp Omatua Gear List 2016

Minimum Clothing 2 Warm Sweatshirts 4 Tee Shirts 1 Long Sleeved Shirt 1 Pair Long Pants 2 Pairs Shorts 4 Pairs Socks Togs 4 Pairs Underwear Sunhat Warm hat Waterproof Raincoat or Parka (not a shower proof jacket or vest or anything else that will not keep your child dry in heavy rain.  It must reach mid thigh, have a hood and actually be waterproof - borrow one if needed)	Toilet Gear 2 Towels Flannel in a plastic bag Soap in container Toothbrush and toothpaste Hairbrush or comb Shampoo etc (optional) Deodorant if needed Hankies or tissues
Bedding A Warm Sleeping Bag Pillow An Extra Blanket (optional) Pyjamas Teddy Bear (optional) You do need a stretcher or mattress to sleep in Ridell Lodge. You do not need a stretcher or mattress to sleep in Ridell Lodge.	Footwear 2 pairs of comfortable track shoes.  One pair will be used for walking.  The second for walking in the river (aqua shoes would be fine). Gumboots, skate shoes, jandals etc are not suitable for this camp.

Other Bits Ice Cream container of baking or bought equivalent Day Bag (big enough to fit raincoat, drink, spare clothing/togs). Drink bottle & Lunch Box with a packed lunch for day one. Medication - named & labelled (hand to teacher) Torch with good batteries Spare batteries (optional) Camera (optional) Dressing gown (optional) 2 plastic bags for wet/dirty laundry 4 pegs

Tidy clothes will not be needed. Please don’t bring your BEST clothes.

Packing

Please try to get everything into two bags.  A large one for clothes etc and a smaller one with all bedding.  Don’t forget to bring a day bag.

Last Minute

Please check/treat head lice, and trim/check nails the night before camp.

Name  EVERYTHING clearly even socks.
